Join celebrated floral designer Cornelia McNamara for a beautifully immersive, hands-on Winter Bulb Garden Workshop dedicated to the art and ritual of bulb forcing. In this intimate session, Cornelia will guide you through the techniques she uses to cultivate hundreds of rare and specialty narcissus and amaryllis varieties—bringing elegance, fragrance, and life into the heart of winter.

We’ll guide you through planting gorgeous premium amaryllis bulbs (3), rare Narcissus tazetta ( 5) arranging moss, and adding a willow fence to bring the whole garden planter together. In your choice of hues; blush, melon, garnet, celadon, and whites, you can curate a garden of your own.

Participants will learn how to select, prepare, and care for exceptional bulb varieties, creating stunning indoor bulb gardens for their homes. Expect rich storytelling, expert instruction, and thoughtful inspiration as Cornelia shares her approach to nurturing blooms that flourish indoors long before spring arrives.

All materials will be provided, and each participant will leave with their own beautifully prepared bulbs to enjoy in the weeks ahead.

Hosted in our cozy West Town studio, we will help you craft a growing amaryllis, paper white and other rare flower garden center piece that will bring you warmth and joy throughout the gloomy grey Chicago winter.
Each party will be two hours — the perfect amount of time to gather, create, and relax during this busy time of year. We are happy to bring the party to your home or host you in our studio.
